Granite
Granite is the most durable of all stones.
Its most favorable when choosing
high traffic surfaces like kitchens and bathroom counters. Granite comes in
many color schemes, without two stones being identically alike. Granite does
not scratch and can be used to cut on. Granite is heat resistant and the
least porous of all stones. Pricing varies by groups (1,2,3,4 & 5). Group 1 being the least
expensive.
Marble
Marble is commonly chosen as an elegant asset
to foyers, bathrooms, fireplaces, back-splashes, and even furniture accent.
Solid surface
Different types of solid surfaces:
Acrylic Solid Surface is a solid homogeneous
sheet or slab resistant to stains.
Avonite Surfaces A patented, non-porous
homogenous blend of either acrylic or polyester resins and mineral fillers.
Formica Non-porous for easy maintenance.
Patterns run through the entire material, making it perfect for edging,
accents or inlay.
Quartz
Quartz
a free alternative to high-maintenance granite. They are stronger than
granite, requires no resealing, are highly resistant to scratches and stains.
Travertine
Travertine stone is a form of limestone. Can be left in its natural porous classic aged look of tumbled stone. Other options, polished or honed. Recycled ALKEMI is recycled material composed ofpostindustrial scrap waste. Made from fine flake aluminum milling
scrap--which commonly burns up as heavy smoke pollutant when exposed to conventional aluminum recycling--
ALKEMI leaves no hazardous footprint. Green and LEED certified. Other options, textured, classic or honed.
